Balancing Act: Keeping the Creative-Me Alive

So I mentioned in my Meet The Boss Lady page that I used to be an art teacher. It’s true! I’ve always loved all things art-related, so my career as an art teacher was perfect for me. I loved being able to help my students develop their art-making while also fulfilling my own desire to create.

Since I’ve been home raising my kids though, I haven’t had as many opportunities to participate in creative endeavors. And even though my work as a professional organizer keeps me thinking creatively and out-of-the-box for my clients, I love any chance to go all out and put my crafty skills to good use.

So I wanted to share what I’ve been working on the past couple of months with you!

Today is my youngest son’s 1st birthday party (which is pirate themed). Using my creative background, and a little help from Pinterest here and there, I think I accomplished my goal of throwing a party fit for pirates. =)

Enjoy the pictures!
